Mission FEMs

FEMs mission is to empower ambitious women

FEMs focuses on women with ambition. FEMs supports them from the foundation of mentoring focused on wisdom in leadership where head and heart are connected and work-life balance. FEMs offers organisations that embrace diversity a helping hand with a mentoring programme for their female talent.

"FEMs supports female talent and companies that take diversity seriously"

FEMs empowers women

Women often make high demands on themselves; we like to keep all the balls in the air ourselves, mirroring our surroundings. Because of this and other unconscious patterns, we usually take good care of others but less good care of ourselves. Being aware of this and making choices helps to get back into a good balance. FEMs supports women in the process of becoming aware of the choices to be made where head and heart are connected. This way, we remain authentic women and choices made feel natural, making them sustainable. The result is often a better private-work balance.

In managerial or influential positions, we do well to stay with ourselves and not be distracted by a demanding environment or masculine context. This is not always easy; it requires self-knowledge, confidence and sometimes a bit of guts. But it is precisely this different, feminine outlook that will be complementary and make a positive contribution to the organisation. Being able to be yourself also means being in your power. As a mentor, FEMs confirms and activates the ever-present strength of the woman in question.

Organisations serious about diversity are mindful of the struggle of female talent in certain age groups. This struggle manifests itself in increased absenteeism and disengagement especially during 'rush hours'. Women often want to fulfil care tasks such as motherhood and informal care by themselves. But often these "life-events" coincide with important career moments. We teach people to manage others, but not so much to manage ourselves and keep ourselves healthy. Failure and disengagement are the main risks if not recognised in time.
